Dogs Post a 159, But Not Enough Against HCC Rivals

The Brownsburg boys' golf team traveled to The Trophy Club for a four-way match Wednesday afternoon. The weather was the best of the season, but the Dogs fell a little short on the scoreboard. HCC rivals Westfield and Zionsville finished first and second, with 153 (+9) and 156 (+12) strokes respectively, while the Bulldogs finished a strong third with 159 (+15), and Lebanon completed the scoring with 168 strokes. Derek Hettmansperger was low for the Dogs with 36 (E), which tied him for second overall out of 23 players. Alec Brown, Luke Kelly, and Kyle Dafoe all shot 41 (+5), while Kasey Cross added 46 (+10) and Moe Wamsley 47 (+11) to round out the roster. The Bulldogs continue a busy week by visiting Brickyard Crossing Golf Course Thursday afternoon for a three-way match versus Speedway and Franklin Central. They then round out the week Saturday at The Trophy Club in the Sollman Invitational featuring a field that will rival next month's IHSAA Boys Golf State Finals.
