Boys' Golf Competes in HCC Match

The Brownsburg Varsity Boys Golf Team traveled to Bear Slide Golf Course in Cicero to compete in the HCC Tournament Monday. The 17th-ranked Bulldogs were among 6 ranked teams playing in the event.  The boys hung with it on a beautiful but challenging day for golf, but their team total of 330 placed 6th in the 10 team event. Derek Hettmansperger earned All-HCC Honors with a 78 (+7). Luke Kelly 81 (+10) and Alec Brown 83 (+12) had very consistent rounds and Kyle
Dafoe was the 4th score with an 88 (+17). Kasey Cross also competed. The Dogs are back in action Wednesday at Maple Creek Golf Course in a 3-way match with Cathedral and Lawrence North. Next week, the team has matches every day except Thursday, including hosting the Hendricks County Tournament Monday at West-Chase Golf Club beginning at 3:30 pm.
