Baseball Defeats HCC Foe Harrison

The Bulldogs beat Harrison last night by the score of 5-2.  The Dogs fell behind early with the visiting Raiders scoring 2 runs in the top of the 1st but the Bulldogs would not be held down for long.  In the bottom of the second, after the Raiders loaded the bases, senior CF Tyler Houston belted a grand slam to put the Dogs up 4-2.  The score would hold there until the bottom of the sixth when senior 1B Sam Comer hit his first home run of the season, a solo shot, to extend the lead to 5-2.  That was all the Dogs would need as the pitching and defense shut the door quickly on the Raiders.  Junior LHP Triston Polley started the game and when 6 innings, allowing 2 runs on 3 hits and junior RHP Michael Klayer entered in the 7th for the save, his 3rd of the season.  The Bulldogs were led offensively by Houston (4-4, 4 RBIs, 2 2Bs, Grand Slam)
