Bulldogs Win vs. Center Grove

The Bulldogs beat Center Grove 6-2 behind some excellent pitching and defense.  The Bulldogs fell behind early when the Trojans were able to put 2 on the board in the top of the first, but those two runs would prove to be their last of the night.  The Dogs answered quickly with 2 runs of their own in the bottom of the 2^nd.  Senior DH Cody Gill and junior C Brooks Bireley led off the inning with back-to-back doubles with senior Sam Comer driving in one run and junior 2B Brad Guilinger supplying the 2^nd RBI on a single to right.  The Dogs didn't strike again until the 6^th.  Senior LF Tyler Westrich led off the inning with a walk, senior CF Tyler Houston singled to set up single by junior RF Ryan Robbins that scored both.  Junior SS Caleb Sampen singled to move Robbins to 3^rd and Gill sprayed a sacrifice fly to right to score the run.  Some smooth baserunning by junior PR Andrew Dishinger allowed the Dogs to tack on the 4^th run of the inning when the Trojans threw Austin Jones on an attempted stolen base.  Senior RHP Trent Kabrich went 5 innings, allowing only those 2 runs on 4 hits to collect his second win of the season.  Juniors Triston Polley and Michael Klayer retired the sides in the the 6^th and 7^th to close out the Trojans.
