Baseball Defeats South Central

The Bulldogs improved to 3-0 on the season with a 17-1 victory over South Central (Union Mills).  The Bulldogs started off the scoring in the 2nd inning win senior 2B Austin Jones scored junior C Brooks Bireley after Bireley led off the 2nd with a double off the wall.  That was only the beginning, in the bottom of the 3rd senior OF Tyler Houston started the scoring barrage with a solo HR to start the inning.  That opened the door to a 16-run inning that was highlighted by a 2-run HR by junior 3B Jacson McGowan (his second on the season), a 2-run double by Bireley, and an RBI double by senior Util Trent Kabrich.  Houton (3-4 on the day) collected 3 hits in the 3rd inning alone.  On the mound, three Bulldog pitchers kept the visiting Satellites at bay by only allowing 1 run on 1 hit. senior LHP Ty McCoy started the game and threw the first two giving up 1 unearned run, senior RHP David LeClerc held the Satellites scoreless in the 3rd and 4th, and junior LHP Matt Rollyson finished the game with a scoreless 5th inning.
