Girls' Basketball Celebrates Senior Night

The Varsity Girls' Basketball team finished the regular season with a win over Brebeuf on senior night, 58-44.  The Dogs, 17-3, honored their seniors:  Kayle Comer, Brooke Bronger, Margaret Oles, Natalie Kroll, Stephanie Mavunga, Mackenzie TroutLindsey Low and Andrea Williams prior to the game.
 
After running through the Dogs' football tunnel, Brownsburg jumped out to a 12-4 first quarter lead and never looked back. The Bulldogs continued to attack the basket and enjoyed a 36-15 halftime advantage.  The Braves fought back in the thirdcutting the Dogs' lead to 15 at the end of the third, 48-33.  The seniors did a great job closing out the game in the fourth, stepping up and hitting free throws!  Brebeuf could not come any closer as Dogs kept the Braves out of reach in the fourth quarter.
 
Stephanie Mavunga led Brownsburg with 14 points and 12 rebounds. Lindsey Low added 13 points and 3 steals.  Kayle Comer chipped in 12 (hitting a perfect 2 of 2 from behind the 3 point arc).

The Dogs will host Southport in the first round of the IHSAA State Tournament on Wednesday night at 7:30 p.m.  Come out and support your Dogs!
