Bulldogs Cruise to a Win Over Bronchos

The Varsity Girls Basketball team improved to 2-0 in the HCC, 3-1 overall on Saturday with a road win over Lafayette Jefferson, 52-30.  The Dogs got off to a quick start leading the Broncos 11-5 after the first quarter. The Dogs' turned up the defense holding the Broncos to one field goal in the second quarter.  The Dogs entered half time up 25-7.  The Dogs continued to apply defensive pressure and increased the lead to 38-14 after three quarters of action.  Stephanie Mavunga scored a game high 18 points and grabbed 10 rebounds.  Kayle Comer and Lindsey Low each added 8 points respectively.  Aliyah Walker and Natalie Kroll played great defense, both with 3 steals.  Hannah Mingus shot 60% from the field and grabbed 3 boards.  The Dogs were glad to have Chloe Dygert back on the court, having sat out the first three games of the season recovering from an injury. 

The Dogs travel to Hamilton Southeastern on Wednesday night for a HCC showdown.  Come out and support your Dogs!
