Hendricks Regional Health County Champions!

Hendricks Regional Health County Champions!

The Girls' basketball team continued their county dominance, becoming the second team in school history to have a senior class win four county titles.  The Dogs defeated Tri West in the championship game, 54-26. The Dogs, (10-3), led 14-13 late in the second quarter when freshman Zhane Roper gave the Bulldogs a spark off the bench scoring all seven of her points in the quarter.  Zhane drilled a 3 from the top of the key with 2:40 left and followed with back-to-back jumpers near the free throw line. Brooke Bronger hit a 3 with 7.2 seconds left closing the half for the Bulldogs with a 12-0 run and a 26-13 lead.  The Dogs played great defense throughout the game and dominated the boards limiting Tri West mostly to one shot.  The Dogs built a 44-21 lead after three quarters of play.   Stephanie Mavunga scored a game high 17 points.   Aliyah Walker and Kayle Comer combined for 16 points and 10 rebounds. Chloe Dygert played awesome defense, forcing Bruins' turnovers.  Margaret Oles did a great job handling the point and controlling the Dogs' offense.

Congratulations to our seven seniors:  Brooke Bronger, Kayle Comer, Lindsey Low, Mackenzie Trout, Natalie Kroll, Stephanie Mavunga and Margaret Oles!  Way to go ladies!  We are proud of you!
