Girls' Basketball Grabs a Win over County Foe Avon

The Girls' Varsity basketball team won a big game on Friday against conference and county rival Avon, 64-33.  The Dogs jumped out early.  Kayle Comer scored 6 of her 8 points in the first quarter.  The Dogs were up by 9 at half time.  The Dogs pushed the ball in the second half and were very aggressive on defense, scoring 22 points in the 3rd quarter and 18 points in the 4th quarter.  
 
The Dogs had seven players in the scoring column.  Stephanie Mavunga scored a game high 23 points.  Aliyah Walker added 16 points and grabbed 8 rebounds.  Mackenzie Trout and Lindsey Low combined for 14 points.  Zhane Roper and Margaret Oles did a great job handling the point.
 
A big thank you to the student section for their support!  The Dogs will travel to Lafayette Jeff on Saturday night.
