Bulldogs Stomp on Plainfield

Bulldogs Stomp on Plainfield

Stephanie Mavunga broke Coach Brauman's 21 year old scoring record, finishing the game with 44 points and leading the Dogs to a 78-51 victory over Plainfield.  The Dogs did a great job handling Plainfield's always tough pressure defense!  The Dogs jumped out early leading the Quakers 19-12 after the first quarter.  The Dogs' defensive pressure, led by Alliyah Walker and Chloe Dygert, forced turnovers and allowed the Dogs to score in transition.  The Dogs entered the half up 49-28.  The Dogs were clicking on all cylinders in the third quarter, with Stephanie scoring 15 of the Dogs' 25 third quarter points.    Stephanie finished the game with 19 rebounds and 7 blocks.  Kayle Comer added 11 points and dished out 3 assists.  Aliyah Walker filled up the stat sheet!  Aliyah scored 9 points, hitting 4 of 5 shots from the field, grabbed 5 rebounds, had 6 steals and 5 assists.  Chloe Dygert finished with 8 points and played aggressive D from start to finish.  Lindsey Low did a great job finding the open player as she dished out 5 assists, grabbed 3 boards and had 2 steals.  The Dogs hit a season high 75% from the free throw line!  Congratulations to Stephanie and the Bulldogs for a record setting performance.  A HUGE thanks to the student section!  The Dogs appreciate your support!  The Dogs will travel to Noblesville on Saturday for a noon JV tip.
