Bulldogs Grab a HCC Win While Honoring Most Valuable Educators

The Varsity Girls' Basketball team was back in action last night, defeating conference opponent McCutcheon, 52-27.  The Bulldogs played great defense in the first quarter, holding the Mavs to 2 points in 8 minutes of action.  The Dogs continued to be aggressive on both ends of the court, entering the half up 27-9.  The Bulldogs were patient in the second half, working the ball around in the half court against McCutcheon's multiple defenses.  Stephanie Mavunga scored a game high 28 points, grabbed 14 rebounds, blocked 5 shots and had 2 steals.  Mackenzie Trout scored 5 points and pulled down 3 rebounds.  Hannah Mingus was a beast on the boards, pulling down 7 rebounds!  Aliyah Walker, Zhane Roper and Chloe Dygert ignited the Bulldog's defense.  The trio combined for 6 steals and forced several Mav turnovers!

Stephanie Mavunga broke Brownsburg High School's career scoring record set by Judy Cummings in 1979!  Judy scored 1524 points during her career (many of the passes came from our own Coach Kelli (Tracy) Waggoner).  Stephanie has scored 1531 points thus far in her career.  Congratulations Stephanie!

It was an all around great team victory!  The Bulldogs have the weekend off and will travel to Zionsville next Wednesday.   A big thank you to our student cheer section!  We appreciate your support!
