Giants hand Dogs Their First Loss

The Girls' Basketball team lost a heartbreaker on Saturday night in a tough match up against Ben Davis, 43-47.  The Dogs were physical, battling with the Giants throughout the game.  The Giants played aggressive defense, forcing 26 Dogs' turnovers.  In addition to turnovers, the Dogs struggled from the free throw line, shooting forty eight percent on the night.   Freshman Aliyah Walker had a solid performance with 10 rebounds, 7 points and 5 steals.  Senior Stephanie Mavunga scored a game high 23 points.  Senior Kayle Comer and Freshman Zhane Roper combined for 10 points, 5 assists and 4 steals.  The Dogs will learn from the loss and will bounce back on Friday night in a county/conference rival matchup against Avon.  The Kiwanis group will host a dinner before the game.  Come out and support your Dogs!
