Girls' Basketball Scrimmages Southport

The Brownsburg Girls' Basketball team got off to an exciting start last night in their season opening scrimmage against Southport.  The Dogs outscored the Cardinals in three out of four quarters played.  Seniors Stephanie Mavunga and Kayle Comer led the team in scoring with 15 and 10 respectively.  Freshman Aliyah Walker and Senior Mackenzie Trout were tough in the post, attacking the basket and dominating the boards.  Junior Hannah Mingus and Freshman Zhane Roper did a great job on the wing, hitting open shots in transition.  Senior Margaret Oles did a nice job running the point.  Next up for the Dogs, Decatur Central at home on Tuesday night.  Come out and support your Dogs!
