State Title Run Ends With a Loss to the Giants

The Varsity Girls' Basketball team suffered a season ending loss to Ben Davis last night in the first round of sectional play, 33-49.    The Dogs got off to a slow start, scoring only 2 first quarter points.  The Dogs picked up their offense in the second quarter, still trailing at the half 14-22.  The Dogs kept fighting, cutting into the Giant's lead, while playing great defense.  The Dogs trailed by 2, 31-33, with 6:41 remaining in the game.  The Giant's defensive pressure plagued the Dogs as the Giants forced several turnovers, scoring 11 unanswered points down the stretch. Kayle Comer led the Dogs with 11 points.
