Bulldogs Top HCC Foe Harrison

The varsity girls' basketball teamimproved to 7-1 on the season, 3-1 in the HCC on Saturday night with a convincing win over Lafayette Harrison, 55-32.  The first quarter was close, as the Dogs had difficulty finishing shots.  The Dogs were up by one after eight minutes of action, 10-9.  The Dogs' defensive intensity picked up as the Dogs outscored Harrison by 22 points in the final three quarters of action.

Stephanie Mavunga scored a game high 16 points and grabbed 16 rebounds.  Allison DeVaney had a terrific game scoring a season high 12 points.  Allison also pulled down four rebounds, dished out three assists and had two steals.  Kayle Comer connected on two three pointers and finished with eight points.  Kayle also added four rebounds and three assists.  Katie Reinhart and Lindsey Low combined for 11 points, 10 rebounds, five assists and three steals.  Audrey Lyons, Makenzie Trout and Chazney Jones all contributed buckets in the paint.  Margaret Oles did a nice job running the point and directing traffic.
