Emma Wolf wins IHSAA Diving Regional 4, advances to State Finals

Senior Emma Wolf will advance to Saturday's IHSAA Girls' Diving State Finals after taking first place in the Regional meet at the Brownsburg Aquatic Center on Feb. 9. 

Wolf won the event by scoring 461.75 points. The senior diver came in second in last year's Diving Regional, finishing only behind a fellow Bulldogs. Wolf finished just 10 points ahead of the second place diver, Grace Hurley from Brebeuf, who scored 451.70 points. The rest of the podium was as follows: third-place Devynn Bishop of Franklin Central (428.25 points), fourth-place Hannah Clark of Plainfield (364.60 points), fifth-place Lu Si Minnich of Lawrence Central (362.10 points), sixth-place Erica Lucas of Centerville (359.20 points), seventh-place Carli Merchant of Warren Central (355.50) and eight-place Trinity Deck of Crawfordsville (349.60 points).

Brownsburg's other participant, sophomore Brooklee Brandt, posted 326.20 points, good for 12th overall in the event.

The prelims for Diving in the State Finals are scheduled for 9 a.m. on Feb. 13 from the IU Natatorium.
