No. 26 Girls' Swimming & Diving posts win over Ben Davis as Sectionals near

The No. 26 Brownsburg Girls' Swimming & Diving team bounced back on Jan. 20 with a dominating win that saw the Bulldogs win every event en route to a 145-38 win over Ben Davis.

Senior Maria Scholz had perhaps her best meet of the season to this point, taking home two wins in the 200 and 500 Freestyle events. Scholz was joined by senior Rory Smith and Maria Gutzweiler as swimmers who took home multiple first-place finishes on the night. Smith won the 50 Free and 100 Back events. Gutzweiler was victorious in the 100 Free and 100 Breast events.

Emma Wolf continued her dominating season by yet another first-place finish in the diving portion of the event. 

The team announced its captains on Tuesday night -- Zoe Fitterling, Maria Gutzweiler, Ella Hart, Maria Scholz, Rory Smith, Ella Wilson and Emma Wolf.

The Dogs return to the Brownsburg Aquatic Center on Jan. 21 to host Crawfordsville in their final regular season meet of the season.
