No.1 @BHSDogsWrestlin to wrestle No.20 Franklin Central in dual

The No.1 ranked Brownsburg varsity wrestling team will host Hoosier Crossroads Conference foe Franklin Central for a dual on December 17th. Action will get underway at 6:30 p.m. from the Varsity Fieldhouse.

Brownsburg comes in with a 7-0 record in duals this season.

     Last Time Out

Brownsburg traveled to Brighton, Michigan to compete alongside four other nationally ranked programs at the Grappler Gold Invitational. Brownsburg finished in third, ahead of two nationally ranked programs, as 138-pound Drake Campbell and 285-pound Dorian Keys both came away with individual titles.

Brownsburg had a wrestler finish in the top eight in all but one weight class at the tournament including runner-up performances from 106-pound Logan Miller, 120-pound Gavin Garcia, 160-pound Peyton Asbury and 195-pound Isaiah Street: FULL RECAP

     About the Flashes

Franklin Central is coming off a second-place finish in the Eagle Invite at Zionsville High School last weekend. 220-pound Deshawn Young and 285-pound Atone Alexander both came away with titles at the invitational.

The match with Brownsburg will be the first Hoosier Crossroads Conference Dual for Franklin Central this season. The Flashes have wrestled in three mid-week duals against non-conference foes this season. They also competed in the Harrison Duals at William Henry Harrison High School in Harrison, Ohio.

Franklin Central has three wrestlers who are featured in the IndianaMat.com Individual State Rankings. 195-pound Gavin Keesee is ranked 14th in his weight class. Young and Alexander are ranked 11th and 6th by the website.

Franklin Central is ranked 20th in the latest IndianaMat Overall Team Rankings.

Brownsburg will head north this Saturday to Crown Point, Indiana for the Carnahan Memorial Invitational at Crown Point High School. The invitational features 16 other programs including the host, 3rd-ranked Crown Point.
