RESULTS | IHSAA STATE FINALS

The IHSAA Wrestling season came to a close with Day 2 of the 82nd Annual IHSAA Wrestling State Finals at Bankers Life Fieldhouse on February 21. 106-pound Logan Miller of Brownsburg was one of 14 individual State Champions at the IHSAA State Finals. 126-pound Kysen Montgomery (3rd), 138-pound Drake Campbell (5th) and 285-pound Dorian Keys (3rd) also placed at the event.

Brownsburg finished fourth out of the 113 teams that competed in the State Finals. It's the fifth consecutive top-five finish for Brownsburg at the IHSAA State Finals. Cathedral was crowned the 2020 IHSAA Wrestling State Champions.

Miller is the fourth IHSAA individual State Champion in Brownsburg history. He joins Mark Meunier (1976 and 1977), Brayton Lee (2016, 2017 and 2018) and Keys (2019) on the list of Bulldogs to win an individual State title. Miller picked up a 5-3 decision over Isaac Ruble (Bellmont) in the State championship match.

Miller ends his sophomore campaign on a 24-match win streak for a 43-2 overall record.

Montgomery posted the highest State Finals finish of his career so far. Montgomery defeated David Pierson III (Warren Central) in the 3rd place match after he fell in a 6-3 decision to Roncalli's Braden Lowery in the State Semifinals. Montgomery finishes the year 37-9.

Campbell fell to eventual State Runner-up Logan Bailey (Cathedral) in the State Quarterfinals. He pinned Elijah Hickman (Rennsselaer Central) and picked up a 5-0 decision over J Conway (Floyd Central) to close his four-year career. He finishes the year 40-2.

Keys fell to Andrew Irick (Hamilton Southeastern) in a No.1 vs No.2 matchup in the State Semifinals. It was Keys' first loss of the 2019-2020 season. He went on to pick up a 3-1 decision over Damari Dancy (Portage) to finish 3rd.
