No.3 @BHSDogsWrestlin returns to the mat with dual at Ben Davis

The Brownsburg varsity wrestling team will return to the non-conference slate as they travel to Ben Davis for a dual on January 16. Junior-varsity action will get underway at 6 p.m. from Ben Davis High School.

Brownsburg comes in with a 16-2 record in duals this season.

    Last Time Out

The Bulldogs have been away from the regular season slate for over ten days. Brownsburg last wrestled in the 2020 IHSWCA Team State Duals back on January 4th.

The Bulldogs went 3-1 at the State Duals en route to a 3rd place finish in the tournament. Brownsburg defeated fifth-ranked Warren Central 30-27 in the third-place match.

Five Bulldogs went undefeated at the 2020 IHSWCA Team State Duals.

     About the Giants

Ben Davis comes in fresh off a pair of losses in their last two duals. The Giants fell to Avon 57-15 in their most recent matchup and moved to 13-7 in duals this year.

132-pound Diesel Duncan and 145-pound Kailan Keith are both headliners for Ben Davis this season. Duncan and Keith are unranked in the IndianaMat.com Individual State rankings but are featured in the site's rankings for the IHSAA Semi-State at Evansville.

Last season, the Giants had one IHSAA Wrestling State Finals qualifier, 285-pound senior Muhammad Sidibe, who finished in 6th place.

     Series History

Aside from the 2011-12 campaign, Brownsburg has wrestled Ben Davis every season since 2010. The Bulldogs have a 7-1 record against the Giants in those duals.

Last season, Brownsburg defeated Ben Davis 53-12 to win its sixth consecutive dual over the Giants.
