Baseball Ends Their Hot Streak at Eight as they Lose to Franklin Central, 0-3

By Brian Cooney

Baseball (11-4, 6-3 in HCC) lost game one of their two-game series vs. Franklin Central, 0-3. This is Brownsburg's first game all season without scoring a run.

Mason Tibbs started this game for the Bulldogs, going scoreless in his first two innings of work. At the end of the 1st, Jackson Fought threw a laser from left field to the cut-off man Will McKinzie, who then threw it home, knabbing the runner at the plate.

However, in the third, the Flashes scored two off an RBI groundout and a passed ball. Alec Murphy came in for relief at the top of the 6th, saving the Bulldogs from a bases-loaded jam with no outs.

The offense just couldn't get going tonight. Brownsburg had a multitude of hard line drives go straight to Franklin Central's outfielders. Luck wasn't on their side tonight.
