Baseball Wins in an Extra Inning Thriller at Zionsville, 11-6

Baseball (6-3, 4-2 in HCC) won in extras on Thursday night (4.21), topping the Zionsville Eagles 11-6. Tied 6-6 in the top of the 8th inning, Brownsburg broke the game open with 5 unanswered runs. 

The offense was the story of the night, as both teams totaled over 10 hits. Steven Walsh opened the game up with an RBI single in the first inning. 

Walker Brodt came into this game when things were ugly, yet he thrived. He pitched for three innings, not allowing a run and striking out four. He held the lead for the Bulldogs as they made their comeback and eventual go-ahead 8th inning. 

Wyatt Clodfelter had himself a game, going 3-4 and scoring two runs. Jackson Fought went 2-5, scoring two as well.

This extra-inning thriller is just the 1st half of this Brownsburg vs Zionsville matchup. The Bulldogs and Eagles face off on Friday (4.22) for an in-conference rematch. They'll play at Mary Beth Rose Park at 6 PM.
