Baseball Takes Home B&O Rotary Bell in 1st Matchup vs Avon, 8-5

Baseball (8-3, 5-2 in HCC) won the first matchup against the Avon Orioles on Wednesday night (4.27). With a big 5-run 2nd Inning, the Bulldogs were able to hold their lead for an 8-5 victory.

Mason Tibbs started this ballgame, putting away the first nine batters. In the 4th, the Orioles took 3 runs, but Tibbs finished out with a scoreless 5th. 

At the top of the 2nd Inning, Brownsburg batted around the order, as we saw RBIs from Fought, LeBlanc, Clodfelter, Bayler, and McKinzie. In the third, Fought hit a sac-fly to score Grant from third, followed by Sean Gannon knocking in a run on a ground ball. 

Walker Brodt came in at the top of the 6th, as he allowed 2 runs from multiple singles. With another insurance run in the top of 7th, Brodt stayed in to save the game in the last half-inning.
