Baseball holds on for sweep of HSE, 3-2

Baseball (2-1, 2-0 in HCC) pulled off a two-game Hoosier Crossroads Conference sweep of Hamilton Southeastern as the Bulldogs took down the Royals 3-2 at Mary Beth Rose Park April 7.

Connor Lambert was lights out to begin the game, striking out the first three batters. Through four innings Lambert allowed 1 ER, 0 H, and struck out six.

On the other end, the Bulldogs totaled five hits on the day, including multi-hit games from Will McKinzie and Mason Grant. Grant batted in two runners on a single in the 2nd inning, and the Bulldogs never looked back.

Walker Brodt pitched the last three innings and earned the save to end the night. Brodt and Lambert combined for a one-hitter Thursday night against the Royals.
