Baseball Completes the Sweep vs. Zionsville Under the Friday Night Lights, 5-2

By Brian Cooney

Baseball (7-3, 5-2 in HCC) beat the Zionsville Eagles to complete their 2-game sweep. A premier pitching performance from Connor Lambert helped the Bulldogs take their 7th win of the season.

Lambert threw 5.1 innings of no-hit baseball tonight. He struck out five batters and allowed only one run. Alec Murphy came in for relief in the 6th inning, closing the game and earning the save for Brownsburg.

The Bulldogs owned the 3rd inning, as they jumped out to a 4-1 lead after a Mason Grant 2-Run RBI Double. Then, Steven Walsh joined the party with an RBI Double himself. Luke Gordon made it home safe on multiple plays at the plate today.

Mason Grant's hot start to this season continues, as he went 3-4 from the dish with 2 RBIs. He's been unstoppable!

This win marks the Bulldog's 4th straight victory, and they don't look to be slowing down any time soon.
