Volleyball Falls to Roncalli

Varsity volleyball fell in a tough match to Roncalli 1-3 with set scores of 25-21, 26-28, 19-25 and 20-25. 

The Volleydogs may have lost, but there was an obvious fight between the two teams. The Bulldogs won the first set, but the next three sets were a back and forth battle. Especially sets 3 and 4 were back and forth, with neither team getting up by more than 2-3 points. 

Defensive leaders were senior Katie Hardegree with 28 assists, junior Morgan Syoen with 13 assists, freshman Quinici Thomas with 14 kills, senior Skyy Smith with 12 kills and sophomore Kendall Meller with 8 kills. 

Offensive leaders were senior Smith with 4 blocks, sophomore Audrey Naberhaus with 3 blocks, freshman Ella Hemmings with 24 digs, senior Ashley Margetts with 17 digs and junior Jaelyn Keown with 12 digs. 

The Dogs are back tomorrow at Tri-West. Freshman and JV play at 5:00 PM with varsity to follow.
