Varsity Volleyball Loses Fight Against Mt. Vernon

Varsity Volleyball fell to Mt. Vernon tonight. Match scores were 20-25, 25-23,22-25 and 23-25.

Head coach Katie Maples called tonight a "hard fought battle." She commended senior Ashley Margetts for "playing a really smart and scrappy game and keeping a lot of points alive," as well as sophomore Kendall Meller for playing "a great match at the net." Margetts racked up 27 digs and Meller had 10 kills. 

Offensive leaders were freshman Quinci Thomas with 13 kills and juniors Cate Murphy and Morgan Syoen with 23 and 19 assists, respectively. 

Syoen showed up again as a defensive lead with 23 digs, followed closely by freshman Ella Hemmings with 22 digs. 

The Bulldogs are on the road next, playing Frankling Central on Thursday, September 5th.
