Volleyball Overpowers Tri-West

Varsity volleyball had a match for the books tonight. They won a 4-set match 3-1 with set scores of 25-23, 27-25, 21-25 and 25-18.

Senior leadership played a key role in the win as each of the 8 seniors on the team had match play tonight. As the scores suggest, this match was back and forth with both teams battling for each point.

Head Coach Katie Maples said "Tri-West may seem like a small school but they really bring some heat and they bring some really good ball control."

The Volleydogs pulled ahead and showed, again, that they are a team to be reckoned with, especially heading into sectional play next week.

Seniors Skyy Smith and Ashley Margetts lead the way tonight. Smith had 3 blocks and 18 kills and Margetts had 19 digs and 14 kills.

Defensive leaders were freshman Ella Hemmings with 20 digs and junior Maddie Smith with 13 digs.

Offensive leaders were senior Marah Wood with 7 kills, sophomore Kendall Meller with 6 kills, senior Katie Hardegree with 31 assists and junior Morgan Syoen with 25 assists.

The Bulldogs are back tomorrow at home vs. Noblesville for senior night. Freshman and JV will start at 5:30 PM with varsity to follow.
