Girls' Track runs at State Finals

The Brownsburg Girls' Track and Field team concluded their 2021 season with a trip to the 2021 IHSAA Girls' Track and Field State Finals at Ben Davis High School on June 5. Four Bulldogs competed in the state race.

Abby Lynch ran a 2:13.75 in the 800 meter run, good for sixth place in the state meet. Lynch also ran in the 4x400m relay, joined by Eva Altschul, Jordan Griffin and Paige Kirtz. The Bulldogs ran a 4:00.62 in the finals, good for 10th in the state meet, just one spot outside of a podium placement.

Griffin also ran in the 400m dash, and also finished just one spot out of a podium finish, racing to 10th place in the meet in a time of 59.67 seconds. Paige Kirtz also ran in the 400m dash, but was disqualified.

The state meet ends a great season for the Bulldogs, in which they won nine duals, triangulars or invites, and an IHSAA Sectional Championship.
