Thruston breaks school record; No. 15 Girls' Track places 6th at HCCs

The No. 15 Girls' Track and Field team placed sixth out of eight teams in Wednesday's 2021 HCC Championships. 

The highlights for the Bulldogs started in the prelims as freshman Aysa Thruston broke the school record for the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.51 seconds.

Senior Abby Lynch earned an HCC Championship title after winning time in the 800-meter run. Lynch was also a runner-up in the 1600-meter run.

The Bulldogs were twice runner-ups in the 4x100 and 4x400-meter relays.

Brownsburg varsity next takes the track on Wednesday, May 12, as the Bulldogs take the home track for the final time this season, hosting Zionsville at 5:30 p.m.
