Bulldog Bats Cannot Overcome Panthers

The offensive struggles continued for the Bulldogs last night in a non-conference loss to Bloomington South 3-2 in 9 innings. The Bulldogs jumped out to an early 1-0 lead scoring 1 in the 1^st on a Chase Haynes sac fly to deep center scoring Matt Copeland. The Bulldogs tacked on another run in the 4^th on an RBI single from Sam Hughes, his first varsity hit, that brought in Cameron Martin. After that, the Bulldog bats went quiet. The Bloomington South Panthers were able to even the score 2-2 in the top of the 6^th and then finally brought in the go ahead run in the top of the 9^th. Brandon Reid, Jaret Starnes and Logan Kabrich all threw for the Bulldogs. The Dogs drop to 7-9 (3-6 HCC) and face Zionsville this weekend.
