Softball Defeats Conference Foe Noblesville

The varsity softball team got a huge win over conference foe Noblesville on Friday.  The Dogs started strong, jumping to a 2-0 lead in the 1st inning on hits from Kelsey Reinhardt, Lindsey Stahl, and Ally Carver.  After the Millers came back with 3 more runs over the next 3 innings, the Dogs again answered with 2 runs of their own on Jessica Blystone, Reinhardt, and Stahl hits.  Going into the 7th inning and knotted up at 4-4, thanks to solid defense and great pitching from Carlie Weaver, the Lady Bulldogs rose to the challenge and then some.  Rallying with 2 outs and no base runners, Reinhardt reached base for her 4th time in the ballgame, and then Stahl came up huge with a great homerun blast.  The girls didn't stop there, as Carver, Kayle Comer, Weaver, and Natalie Kroll all had big hits to leave the team with 6 runs in the inning.  Then with 3 big defensive outs in the bottom of the 7th, the Bulldogs shut down the Millers and got an impressive 10-4 win.
