The Stars Hand Softball a Loss

Saturday afternoon the varsity softball team suffered a tough loss in its home opener against Western Boone, 5-3. Down 5-0 in the bottom of the 7th, the girls made a late comeback attempt, scoring three runs off of nice base hits from Gabby Hall, Rachel Fiscus, and Taylor Mendenhall, and highlighted by a line-drive triple from Natalie Kroll. Unfortunately the pitching of the Stars got the Dogs in the end.
