#5 Center Grove Powers Past Bulldogs

Friday night the varsity softball team had a tough loss to #5-ranked Center Grove, in a 9-0 game that was not indicative of how the game was played overall.  Kayle Comer and the Bulldog defense held the Trojans scoreless for 4 innings and allowed only four hits.  Defensive trouble and some very strong Center Grove hitting led to a demoralizing 5th inning in which the Trojans scored 8, and the Dogs were unable to dig out of that hole, despite consistently putting the ball in play all game.  Kyrsten Wagoner led the way offensively, going 2 for 3, and Jessica Blystone and Gabby Hall each added a nice hit, as well.
