Boys' T&F takes first in meet with Cathedral, Brebeuf

The Brownsburg Boys' Track and Field team picked up their second victory of the season after defeating Cathedral and Brebeuf on Tuesday. The Bulldogs logged 90 points in the meet, while Brebeuf finished in second with 29 points and Cathedral finished in third with 19 points.

Senior Tyray Lackey took home first place in the high jump meet at 6'4.5" and the long jump with a personal-best distance of 20'8.5". Fellow senior Pierce Thomas won the long jump in his debut this season, reaching 22'10". A total of five Bulldogs jumped over 20' in the event, a huge accomplishment for the team, said Coach Popenfoose.

Haiden Diemer-McKinney won the 800-meter run in a time of 1:57.09. This is the second-fastest time for the 800-meter run in school history. 

John Colquitt won both the 100 hurdles and 300-meter hurdles at 15.16 seconds and 41.67 seconds, respectively. Colquitt was also second in long jump with a distance of 21'5". His 110 hurdle and long jump feats were personal-bests.

For the rest of the winners, Trevor Nolan won the 3200-meter run in a time of 9:52.17, Shon Tupupola won the shotput with a toss of 47'6" and Adam Jessee won the discus with a toss of 125'3". Other winners included Max Harris, who won the 100-meter dash in a time of 11.36 seconds and Scotty Tienda, who won the 400-meter dash in a personal-best time of 52.99.

Brownsburg returns to action this Saturday, April 10 at the Warren Central Relays at 10 a.m.
