No. 5 @BHSDogsfootball to host Zionsville

The Brownsburg football team will play Zionsville at Roark Stadium this Friday (October 4th). Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.

The Bulldogs will celebrate "Crucial Catch Pink Out Night" in support of the American Cancer Society. Fans are encouraged to wear pink. 

Brownsburg comes into the matchup with a 4-2 (3-1 in Hoosier Crossroads Conference) record.

Bulldog Bits

  • Last week, Brownsburg traveled to No. 13 Westfield and took down the Shamrocks 34-14
  • Since head coach John Hart took over in 2016, Brownsburg has lost just once at home during the regular season; the Bulldogs are on a 14-game winning streak at Roark Stadium
  • Last week's 34-point performance against Westfield moved Brownsburg into the lead for points scored in HCC play; the Bulldogs have notched 120 points since the start of the conference slate
  • Brownsburg ranks second in Jeff Sagarin's Indiana High School Football Ratings; the Bulldogs schedule through six games is rated as the 6th toughest in the state
  • Over the last four weeks, the Brownsburg defense has allowed an average of 13 points per game

About the Eagles

Zionsville comes in with a 3-3 record (1-3 in HCC). They fell to No. 14 Hamilton Southeastern last week 35-14.

Through six weeks, the Eagles have accumulated the most rushing yards in the HCC. They also have the most rushing attempts of any HCC team.

The Eagles are led by RB Colin Price who has already surpassed the 1,000-yard milestone this season. Price has 9 TDs and 1105 yards through six weeks.

Price has posted performances of at least 120 yards in each of the team's games this year. He is averaging 184.2 yards per game.

As a whole, the Eagles offense has the second most total yards of any team in the HCC.

The Eagles defense ranks in the bottom half of the HCC in points allowed.

Series History

Since the first year of the HCC in 2001, Zionsville leads the series between the schools by a 12-6 margin. However, the Bulldogs have won their last four matchups against the Eagles.

Brownsburg has averaged 52.25 points per game over the last four meetings with the Eagles.

Last season, Brownsburg came away with a 70-52 win over Zionsville.

Ben Easters threw for 247 yards and four touchdowns in that matchup. Donny Marcus notched 214 yards and 3 touchdowns in the win.
