No. 9 @BHSdogsfootball to host No. 6 Fishers on Homecoming weekend

The Brownsburg football team will return to Roark Stadium this Friday for a Hoosier Crossroads Conference showdown against No. 6 Fishers. Kick-off is slated for 7 p.m.

Bulldog Bits:

  • Brownsburg is coming off a tough 7-3 loss to B&O Rotary Trail Bell rival Avon last week; they are 2-2 on the season
  • The Bulldogs are riding a 13-game regular season win streak at Roark Stadium; a stretch that dates back to the 2016 season
  • Brownsburg's 17.3 yards per reception this year leads the HCC
  • QB Ben Easters' 766 yards through the air currently rank second in the HCC; he is averaging 191.5 yards per game
  • WR Preston Terrell has 312 receiving yards this season; that mark is second in the HCC
  • MLB Jalen Wilson ranks is 2nd in the HCC with 3.0 sacks this year
  • WR Luke Lacey's five touchdowns lead the HCC

About the Tigers:

Coming off a 4-7 record in 2018, Fishers has flipped the script and is off to their best start since 2009. The Tigers come into the matchup with a 4-0 record after dominating Hamilton Southeastern 27-6 last week.

The Tigers' hot start has come mostly on the back of their stout defense.

Fishers opponents are averaging 6.5 points a game this year and have scored just one touchdown. The Tigers have allowed 26 points this season, a number that is the best in the HCC through four games.

MLB Geoffrey Brown leads the Tigers defense with 31 tackles this season.

Fishers' offense is headlined by QB Marcus Roux, who has thrown for 412 yards and 4 touchdowns this season, and RB Dylan Scally.

Series History:

Since 2006, when Fishers High School was re-established, the Tigers lead the series by a slim 7-6 margin. Brownsburg has won their last three meetings with the Tigers.

The last time the two teams met, Brownsburg traveled to Fishers and took down the Tigers 27-20. RB Donny Marcus rushed for over 250 yards and tacked on three touchdowns in that matchup.
