Saturday Brownsburg attempted to win it's fourth section in five years taking on host Terre Haute South in the championship game.  It was a tough and hard fought game as the Dogs led by a point after the first quarter only to see Terre Haute South take the lead at halftime 29-26.  A big surge by Brownsburg saw them take a 2 point lead halfway through the third quarter but the Bulldogs offense went cold and the team trailed 39-33 heading into the fourth quarter.  Terre Haute South extended its lead until senior Ryan Porath scored 8 points in a late Brownsburg rally.  Dogs finish Sectional runner up falling 54-45 to South.  Cameron Alford and Perce Thomas paced the Bulldogs with 12 points followed by Porath's 8 points and Malek Edmonds 6 points.  Malek Edmonds grabbed 7 rebounds followed by Antrez Baker(5), Reis Thomas(5) and Pierce Thomas(4).  Cameron Alford has 4 assists followed by Baker and Gunnar Reffeitt with 2 assists each.  The 2017-18 Bulldogs finished 20-5 winning 20 games for the 3rd time in five years.  Won the Hendricks County Championship and were Hoosier Crossroads champions for the first time in 14 years.  The team finished in the top 20 in both media and coaches polls.  A huge thank you to Seniors Ryan Porath, Antrez Baker, Kyle Wolf and Kris Jackson for their leadership and dedication to the program.  They have compiled a two year run consisting of a 38-12 record, 2017 sectional championship and 2018 runner up, 2018 conference champions and a second place finish in 2017 and the 2018 Hendricks County championship.
