As first semester ended Friday, Brownsburg took on Avon for their first conference game of the season.  On Pack the House night in front of 3000+ fans, both teams battled in a great game.  Avon had a 14-13 lead after a quarter of play by hitting 4 three point shots.  Brownsburg tightened the defense holding Avon to 4 second quarter points to take a 23-18 lead at the half.  The second half belonged to Brownsburg as they came out and outscored Avon 40-15 to earn a 63-33 victory.  8 different players scored for the Bulldogs, lead by Cameron Alford's 15 points, Kris Jackson (9), Reis Thomas (10) and Pierce Thomas (10) also scored the ball well for Brownsburg.  Malek Edmonds earned his first career start netting 6 points and 4 rebounds.  They team travels to ben Davis Saturday night.

Saturday evening Brownsburg took on #1 Ben Davis in a battle of ranked teams.  The defending State Champions started quickly and harassed the Bulldogs early before Brownsburg settled down and narrowed the lead to 15-10 at the quarter.  Brownsburg struggled to find the net in the second quarter but their defense kept them close with tough play.  Trailing 30-18 at halftime, Brownsburg made a rally to cut the lead to 6 several times in the third quarter and trailed by 8 starting the fourth.  The Bulldog effort was very noticeable but on a night where the ball just would not bounce their way, the Giants pulled out the 58-49 victory.  Antrez Baker, Pierce Thomas, and Cameron Alford lead the team in scoring while Kris Jackson and reis Thomas chipped in a combined 12 second half points in the Bulldogs rally.  The Bulldogs had a very good start to the 2017-18 season and have some time to work in practice before returning to action after Christmas
