County Champs!

Saturday evening the boys basketball team played Avon for the Hendricks County Championship.  The team had two tough games to earn their way to the championship game by defeating Danville on Tuesday and Plainfield on Thursday evening.  The Bulldogs earned their 3rd county championship in five years by defeating Avon 59 – 43.  The first half was a bit of a struggle for both teams to score the ball but eventually the Bulldogs pulled away for a 24-19 lead at half.  Brownsburg outscored Avon 35-24 in the second half to pull away for the win.  The team had balanced scoring again for the the championship game with Reis Thomas (14 pts 7 reb) Kyle Wolf (9 pts 6 reb) Pierce Thomas (12 pts 3 reb 3 ast) Cameron Alford (8pts, 2 reb 4 ast) contributing most of the work load.  Kris Jackson (2 reb, 2 ast, 3 steals) Ryan Porath (5 pts, 1 st) Gunnar Reffeitt (3 pts 1 ast) and Malek Edmonds  (4 pts, 1 reb, 1 ast) chipped in excellent play as well.  The team held every opponent under 50 points in county competition to earn the championship & opportunity to cut the nets down in 2018
