Brownsburg Wins in OT

Brownsburg travelled to Fishers Wednesday for a conference road game against the surging Tigers.   It took 36 minutes of action packed basketball for the Bulldogs to earn a 60-54 overtime victory. The Bulldogs lead 9-8 and 19-18 at halftime as each team took leads and battled in a tough HCC competition.  The third quarter saw Fishers explode for 20 points and grab a two point advantage.  Brownsburg made a run and had a solid lead with limited time remaining only to see the host Tigers sink 2 free throws with 5 seconds left to force overtime.  Both teams had runs early in overtime before Brownsburg scored on consecutive possessions to put the game away.

Malek Edmonds lead the team in scoring for the second straight game with 14 points.  Reis Thomas scored 11 points and had 5 rebounds to lead the team.  Pierce Thomas chipped in 10 while Cameron Alford contributed 7 points 2 assists and 4 steals.  Kris Jackson added 4 assists against no turnovers and Gunnar Reffeitt (3), Ryan Porath (3pts 2 assists) and Kyle Wolf 5 points contributed great minutes and needed baskets for the Dogs.  Truly a great team win and contributions made by each player.  The team improved to 12-2 and 2-0 in conference play.  They host Westfield on Friday in a Coaches vs Cancer double header with the girls team
