Girls' Track Competes in HCC Invite

It was a night of tough competition for the Lady Bulldog track team as they traveled to Fishers to compete in the conference meet and came away in 6th place out of 10 teams. Despite the rough night there were a few very impressive bright spots for the team. Stephanie Mavunga continued her dominance as she launched her second best throw of the season to become the conference champion in shot put with a throw of 41' 4", nearly two feet further than the 2nd place finisher. Her fellow senior teammate Sibong Ncube ran her best time of the season to fly past the competition in the 100m hurdles in just over 15 seconds and also become conference champion. A pair of freshmen wowed the crowd as Megan Berry pulled out a 3rd place finish as the top freshmen finisher in the pole vault and Courtney Stull dropped a full two seconds off her 300m hurdle time to finish in an impressive 4th in a time of 48 seconds. Nice job to these girls and keep working hard as you look towards sectionals next week!
