Boys' and Girls' Track Sweep Speedway and Lebanon

It was a great night for the girls track team's first outdoor meet of the season. Going up against Lebanon and Speedway the bulldogs put in many solid performances to come away with a well-deserved win. The sprinters put up some big points as Flo Akinribade and Bri Smith grabbed first and second in both the 100 meter and 200 meter races while also joining forces with Sibong Ncube and Rocky Sulkoske to take first in the 400 meter relay. Ncube and Sulkoske also took home the top two spots in the 100 meter hurdles. Courtney Stull finished the 300 hurdles in a time of 51 seconds to take 1st while teammate Hope McQueen also put up important points with a 4th place finish. Caitlyn Dressler jumped to a personal best of 5' 2" to take 1st in the high jump. Two other personal bests came from Crystal Stowers in the shot put throwing nearly 37 ft. to take 2nd place and distance runner Morgan Weller not only grabbing the blue ribbon in the 800 meter run, but also running the fastest leg of the winning 3200 meter relay team. All this helped put up 97 points against 49 for Lebanon and 8 for Speedway. Fantastic job girls!

The Brownsburg boys' track team was in high form last night at Lebanon High School. Of the 3 teams competing, the Bulldogs managed to capture dozens of impressive finishes, including 1st place finishes from Taylor Hemmert in the long jump ( 20 1 1/4), Jeremy Shupperd in the hurdles (15.62), Tyrelle Lismon in the 100m and 200m dashes (11.45, 23.32), Nassif Kouton in the 400m dash (54.62), Elliot Shaw in the 800m run (2:10.00), Johnny Dotlich in the 300m hurdles (41.5), and Justin Hays in the 1600m and 3200m runs (4:45.00, 10:36.00). The Bulldog 4x800m, 4x400m, and 4x100m relay teams were all victorious as well. Last nights meet was a tremendous showing in what has already been a stellar year for the Browsburg boys' track and field team.
