Girls' Track Falls Short Against Avon

The Girls' Track Team came up just short against Avon with a score of 85-56 Thursday night despite many strong performances. Pole vaulter Megan Berry and thrower Stephanie Mavunga each extended their win streaks as both have placed 1^st place overall at all outdoor meets this season. Sibong Ncube ran to her best time of the season as she took 1^st in the 100 hurdles in 15.59. Shay Roberson set an all-time personal best in the discus for the second meet in a row with a monster throw of 109' 5". However, as this was senior night the spotlight was shining especially bright on 11 girls who were very deserving of the recognition. Those girls included Flo Akinribade, Megan Fulkerson, Kyra Jo Gaerke, Lauren Markovich, Stephanie Magunga, Alyse Mitchener, Sibong Ncube, Shay Roberson, Damiola Sopitan, Jamie Wieder, and Morgan Weller.
