Bulldogs Fall to Ritter

The Bulldogs dropped a mid-week nonconference game last night agains Cardinal Ritter by the score of 2-1.  Both teams struggled to score runs in a well-pitched and well-played defensive game.  The Dogs jumped on the scoreboard early when Matt Nomady scored while running for senior Logan Kabrich who singled in the second inning.  The Dogs would threaten a few more times, but were never able to plate another run.  The Raiders pulled even at 1-1 in the top of the 3^rd and added another run in the 4^th and then their bats went quiet for the rest of the night.  In the bottom of the 7^th, the Bulldogs had runners on 2^nd and 3^rd with a Jordan Jones walk and a Charlie Esterline single up the middle, but a groundout ended the comeback bid.  The Bulldogs will make up their rained out game against Ben Davis tonight at Ben Davis starting at 5:30p and will face Avon in the Hendricks County semi-finals on Saturday afternoon here at Brownsburg starting at approximately 1pm
