Bulldogs Fall to Ritter

Bulldogs Fall to Ritter

The Bulldogs dropped a mid-week nonconference game last night agains Cardinal Ritter by the score of 2-1.  Both teams struggled to score runs in a well-pitched and well-played defensive game.  The Dogs jumped on the scoreboard early when Matt Nomady scored while running for senior Logan Kabrich who singled in the second inning.  The Dogs would threaten a few more times, but were never able to plate another run.  The Raiders pulled even at 1-1 in the top of the 3rd and added another run in the 4th and then their bats went quiet for the rest of the night.  In the bottom of the 7th, the Bulldogs had runners on 2nd and 3rd with a Jordan Jones walk and a Charlie Esterline single up the middle, but a groundout ended the comeback bid.  The Bulldogs will make up their rained out game against Ben Davis tonight at Ben Davis starting at 5:30p and will face Avon in the Hendricks County semi-finals on Saturday afternoon here at Brownsburg starting at approximately 1pm
