Bulldogs Advance to Sectional Semi-Final

Tuesday evening opened the 2017 boys IHSAA tournament sectional games across the state.  Brownsburg opened the Plainfield sectional taking on Terre Haute North in the 6:00pm game.  The Dogs dug themselves into a huge hole trailing 16-6 after the first quarter.  While Brownsburg found some energy and improved their play, the Dogs still found themselves down 11 at halftime.  The team responded with a great third quarter, scoring 25 points and picking up the tempo defensively against the red hot Patriots.  The Dogs reclaimed the lead with seconds remaining in the third to change the game in their favor.  Brownsburg was able to maintain their lead through the fourth quarter and finished with a first round 66-59 sectional victory. Landon Hall and Cameron Alford paced the scoring but several players turned in clutch performances in the second half to complete the win.  Reis Thomas, Packard Rozzi, Kris Jackson, Antrez Baker, Malek Edmonds and Kyle Wolf all chipped in great plays and effort to push the Dogs into Friday's semifinal round against Plainfield.
