Bulldogs Split on the Weekend

On Friday Brownsburg took on Zionsville in a HCC contest for first place. Zionsville played well as defending conference champion jumping out to a big first quarter lead and cruising to a significant halftime advantage. For the Dogs it was a great learning experience and they responded with a great second half effort. It was a little too late however, with Zionsville answering every Brownsburg run and holding the Dogs off 75-68. Landon Hall & Antrez Baker lead the team with six rebounds. Reis Thomas had 2 assists and Cameron Alford and Antrez Baker had 2 steals to lead the team statistically. The boys & Girls teams would like to thank all of the sponsors for Coaches vs Cancer night & providing shirts for both Zionsville and Brownsburg to wear in warm ups. Both schools would like to recognize and offer our support to all students, school employees, and community members who work everyday to win their battle against cancer.

Saturday evening Brownsburg hosted Terre Haute South at Varsity Fieldhouse. The defending Sectional Champions came in with a very good 12-4 record. Brownsburg started the first quarter with a good start and attacking the Terre Haute defense with good offensive execution. South made a good run to trim the Brownsburg lead to 4. Brownsburg came out and again to start the 3rd quarter with good possessions on offense and defense going on to hold off South 77-65. Cameron Alford, Antrez Baker and Landon Hall lead the team in scoring while Baker added 12 rebounds to his 20 points for a very impressive double double. Brownsburg had great contributions from Reis Thomas, Packard Rozzi, Kris Jackson and Kyle Wolf as the Dogs moved their record to 11-4.
