Bulldogs Win Over Orioles
Finals week the Bulldogs travelled to Avon Friday. The first quarter was a low scoring affair as both teams missed opportunities to score. Avon lead 7-6 at the quarter. The scoring picked up a lot in the second quarter as the bulldogs took a 24-23 lead into the half. Brownsburg had a breakout 3rd quarter scoring 22 points and taking a 46-37 lead into the fourth quarter. While they maintained the lead, Avon rallied to cut the lead several times only to see the Bulldogs score timely baskets. In the end, Brownsburg held on for a 61-59 victory and claimed the B&O rotary Bell for winning the rivalry game against Avon. Landon Hall lead the team with 21 pts and 7 rebounds, while Cameron Alford stuffed the stat line with 16 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 assists. Reis Thomas chipped in 12 points 3 rebounds and 2 assists and Packard Rozzi held Avon's leading scorer to 5 points while chipping in 5 of his own. Brownsburg's post players Kyle Wolf and Antrez Baker contributed 10 points 8 rebounds 2 assists, 2 steals and a blocked shot making a great contribution to the win. Brownsburg continues to play great team basketball as they are assisting on 45% of their field goals for the season.
