Bulldogs Over Plainfield

Brownsburg travelled to Plainfield Tuesday evening to take on county rival in a match up of all three teams freshmen jv & Varsity.  The dogs came away with a clean sweep taking all three games.  For the varsity, the game was a matchup of teams with similar records and sporting wins streaks they both wanted to keep going.  The first quarter was a back and forth battle with the Dogs closing to lead 14-9.  Once again Brownsburg's defense was a factor in the second quarter as they held the host Quakers to 5 points and took a 26-14 halftime lead.  The third quarter was also a back and forth affair as neither team could turn momentum in their favor until Brownsburg closed the quarter with a few baskets to extend their lead.  Plainfield answered to start the fourth quarter with a series of scores to cut the lead to 13 points but Brownsburg responded to push the lead back to 18 and close the game with a 62-44 victory.  The coaching staff was pleased with the collective team effort as every player made great contributions to the win.  Nine different players scored and contributed great team defense.  Landon Hall and Cameron Alford lead the team in scoring with 18 and 16 points respectively but the defense and rebounding from Kyle Wolf, Antrez Baker, Reis Thomas were just as impactful, limiting Plainfield's opportunities to score.  Hall, Baker, Wolf, and Packard Rozzi all collected more than 4 rebounds.  Thomas, Alford, and Kris Jackson contributed multiple assists to teammate scores on the evening.  Brownsburg will close out the season with games against Hamilton Southeastern and Center Grove Friday & Tuesday with Friday being senior night.  Please come out to the game Friday  as we recognize Landon & Packard for their outstanding careers along with manager Mackenzie Neal and our senior Cheerleaders
