Bulldogs Down Mavericks

Bulldogs Down Mavericks

The varsity Bulldogs and their loyal faithful made the drive to McCutcheon Friday evening for what could be the last game of the series for a while.  With McCutcheon leaving the conference and scheduling options limited, Brownsburg needed to make the most of their evening with the host Mavericks.  In front of a near capacity crowd, the Bulldogs held McCutcheon to only 13 total points through the second and third periods on their way to a 53-47 victory.  The win pushed the Bulldogs record to 11-2 (4-1 HCC) and dropped McCutcheon to only their 3rd loss of the season.  KJ Walton had 18 points and 7 rebounds with a very well rounded effort.  Trevor Lucas lead the Dogs again with great defensive effort and 10 rebounds just missing a double double chipping in 9 points.  Darrian Ringo contributed 11 points and the Bulldogs again got a suffocating defensive effort from their front line of Houston, Thompson, Mavunga, Vachon and Comer.  Dalton Vachon, Kyle Thompson, and Tyler Houston all hit critical shots in the fourth quarter to hold off a furious McCutcheon rally.  Brownsburg will travel this Friday to conference foe Noblesville for another tough matchup of ranked teams.
